Course Description: Play Therapy: An Introduction to Developmental Trauma is a foundational course designed specifically for social work professionals and other mental health practitioners seeking to deepen their knowledge of developmental trauma and its profound impact on individuals throughout their lifespan. Understanding the complexities of developmental trauma is crucial for mental health professionals working with clients who have experienced prolonged trauma in their formative years. This course will provide insights into how such experiences can shape emotional, cognitive, and social functioning, often leading to long-term psychological challenges. This 2.5-credit recorded course offers an overview to equip you with the essential knowledge and tools to address developmental trauma in your practice.

- Identify at least two screening tools to use in play therapy with youth experiencing trauma symptoms.

To receive a CE certificate, participants must complete a training evaluation and pass the post-test with 80% or higher. Participants can retake the post-test as often as needed to receive a pass.
